Friday, Grandma Belva treated me to fabric at Joann's. Ahhhh....I love new fabric, and I love Grandma! :)
I chose blue seersucker. It was so easy to work with. Here's what I came up with...
For the dress, I just used an old simple pattern and changed it up a bit.
For the trim along the bottom and the leaves under the flower, I used some left over ribbon I bought at Hobby Lobby at 50% off a few months ago. The actual flower is left over bias tape. I love using scraps and adding sweet little things. It really adds character and gives it a finished look.

I worked on this Saturday during her first nap and made a few minor changes during her second one.
When she woke up that morning, I brought the dress in and showed her. She leaned in and kissed it!!! I guess she approves!

You rock! Cannot believe that you just whip these out!
I really the color and the butterflies. And I love that you modify it and add your own special touches.
Look at Charlie standing! Her kissing herself in the mirror is adorable. :D
