I decided to get busy on the nursery! Folks...we are 23 weeks along! :)
Not only am I decorating two rooms (the nursery for Miss Liv and Charlie's "big girl" room), but I am also working on Christmas gifts. I figured having a child mid-November will prevent me from hitting the malls for all the great deals, so I've been a busy mommy lately. Besides, I love giving handmade gifts!

With all that said, here's Liv's first nursery decoration! It's 3 1/2 feet long and will go over her 4 foot long crib. I didn't take pictures along the way because I hadn't planned on sharing, but I'm going to go back and try to do a step-by-step tutorial. If you have any questions, feel free to message me!
I started out with a cabinet door. This one was a mismatched door from my dad's cabinet shop, but you can use any old door. I painted it ivory.
Next, I took 2 bags of 200 coffee filters and dyed them pale pink.
I did this by filling a bowl with 4 cups of water and adding 5 drops of red food coloring.
*Note: The filters dry a different color, so do a few and dry with a hairdryer to make sure you are getting the color you want!
I dyed a cluster at a time.
Next I laid them out to dry. This took forever...so this is a good stopping point!
The next day I hot glued each filter to the door. I did this simply by pinching the middle to make a cluster shape. This part does not have to be perfect! Just scrunch and glue!
Then, I added my letters I painted a darker pink and a few roses I got on sale at Hobby Lobby!
There you have it!
I'm going to make a smaller version for Charlie's room. Maybe just a "C."

I'm thinking about opening an etsy shop. Let me know, is this something you would like to see?

You're so talented! If you think you can handle all of your personal projects AND some for other people, by all means, give them the opportunity to have these sweet things blessing their homes, as well!
BTW, you're so on top of it to be planning ahead for Christmas already!
